HMD recently unveiled two new smartphones in India including HMD Crest and HMD Crest Max. These are budget smartphones and mark the debut of HMD’s new lineup of smartphones in India.
HMD often releases smartphones with different names in different regions. Now fans are wondering if they will get to see the launch of the Crest smartphones in their regions or not.
Well, we have good news for the fans of the HMD as there is a huge possibility that we will see the Crest smartphones in the global market.
We have discovered that one of the smartphones was listed on the HMD official website. However, it was quickly removed. Could it be a mistake from HMD Global? Probably, but this can also mean that HMD plans to launch the Crest phones globally.
HMD Crest & Crest Max Specifications
The HMD Crest and Crest Max feature the Unisoc T760 chipset. Before you start hating it, we can assure you that is not too bad. Unisoc needs to improve its naming scheme, though. The Unisoc T760 is based on a 6nm architecture ensuring high efficiency. It comes with four Cortex-A76 and four A55 cores clocked at 2.2GHz. For the graphics, the chip depends on the Mali-G57 GPU. There is also 5G support on this chip.
The budget phones also surprise the display segment by ditching the IPS panel for an OLED Panel. They have a size of 6.67” and have full HD+ resolution.
In the camera segment, both devices have some differences. The HMD Crest brings a 50MP primary and a depth sensor. While, the Crest Max features a 64MP primary, 5MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro sensor. On the front, both devices feature a 50MP selfie cam. Both devices have 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Finally, the phone features Android 14 OS.
The starting price of HMD Crest is $175 while the Crest Max costs $195. With these beefy specifications, it will give good competition if launched in the global market.
